KOMOCO - Sofia Nappi, is looking for a Rehearsal Director / Artistic Manager starting from the 2026/27 season.

PROFILE:
KOMOCO is an Italian-based dance company of international recognition, rapidly establishing itself within the contemporary dance scene. The company represents a special project of a young and dynamic reality, with the goal of building a strong and rooted base in Italy while continuing to engage with the international scene and develop meaningful collaborations. KOMOCO performs globally, expanding its network through creations, residencies, and touring activities, and hosts training programs internationally for dancers and communities, connecting people of all gender identities and expressions, cultural backgrounds, and countries of origin.
KOMOCO is looking for an essential figure with strong artistic sensitivity and organizational skills, working in close contact with both the direction and the dancers, alongside the production office.
We are seeking someone interested in building a long-term path within the company, with strong ability for communication, rehearsal room management, and artistic coordination.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
As Rehearsal Director / Artistic Manager:
Lead and organize company rehearsals during rehearsals periods and on tour
Maintain and transmit the choreographic repertoire
Support dancers throughout the creative and performance process
Ensure artistic quality and consistency of the work
Collaborate closely with the choreographer during creations and restaging
Coordinate artistic planning and logistics alongside the production office
Manage internal communication between direction and dancers
Oversee scheduling of rehearsals and residencies alongside the production office
Support and development of artistic projects
Maintain professional relationships with artists, partners, and institutions
Contribute to the strategic development of the company in terms of human resources and vision
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a professional dance company in a related role or as experienced dancer willing to make a significant shift in their career with proven organizational skills (studio management, coordination, communication).
EU citizenship and residency, eligible to work in Europe
Strong interest in building a long-term collaborative process
Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Full availability for all listed working periods and ready to travel for artistic residencies, tours etc.
WORKING PERIODS:
(with regular contract and payment in compliance with Italian regulations)
We ask for a full availability during the whole 2026/26 season, starting from August 31st, 2026.
In detail, the current working periods are:
August 31 – September 16, 2026 / Restage residencies + tour dates
October 5–20, 2026 / Tour dates
November 9-15 and 24–27, 2026 / Restages + tour dates
December 14-18, 2026 / Tour dates
January 10 – 21, 2027 / Tour dates
January 29 – March 11, 2027 / Tour dates ** available for all this period
**Additional performances and projects in Spring and Summer 2027
