Komoco is glad to announce "Komoco Summer Intensive 2026" –– the dance company’s official 5 days workshop. For this 8th edition we are glad to continue the collaboration with Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino: the workshop will be held in the beautiful dance studio inside the Florence Opera House.

Throughout the week, selected dancers will have the opportunity to study with Komoco’s choreographer and artistic director Sofia Nappi and the company dancers.

Classes will focus on learning and understanding the Komoco language through research, while repertoire classes will be an opportunity to immerse yourself in the creations of the company with the original dancers and Sofia Nappi herself, for a taste of her creative vision. There will be a sharing of the work done during the 5 days in the studio on the last day of Intensive.

The workshop is aimed at professional dancers, 18+. We welcome people of all gender identities and expressions, cultural backgrounds and countries of origin.

It is an opportunity for the company and the choreographer to meet new artists, with the possibility of establishing future collaborations.

PARTICIPATION IS BY INVITATION ONLY FOR A SELECTED AMOUNT OF DANCERS.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE PROCESSED ON THE FIRST-COME-FIRST-SERVED BASIS. Only successful applicants will be contacted shortly after submitting the required material (CV+video). Invited artists will be notified by email and will have to confirm their participation in return. Artists will have to take care of their own travel, meals and accommodation.
